I'm a Los Angeles-based writer-director and the founder of Cleo-Gloria Pictures, a SAG-AFTRA signatory production company. Originally from Oakland, I studied Creative Writing at San Francisco State University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue filmmaking.
My work explores desire, power, identity, sexuality, grief, and the contradictions that exist within intimate relationships. I'm drawn to characters who want things they're not suppose to want, as well as the parts of our selves that most films tidy up before showing us. Rather than observing my characters from a distance, I want audiences to experience their interior worlds: the messy, uncomfortable, sensual, and sometimes surreal reality of what it feels like to be inside them.
Visually, my filmmaking draws from neo-noir, psychological drama, Technicolor, Giallo, and painterly traditions. I use heightened color, shadow, sound and subjective imagery to transform emotional states into physical environments. My goal is to create films that feel both intimate and cinematic. These are stories where beauty and discomfort can occupy the same frame.
Through Cleo-Gloria Pictures, I'm building a body of independent work centered on psychologically complex characters and stories that resist easy moral answers. My most recent film, Unicorn's Dilemma serves as a proof-of-concept for my first feature and was produced under a SAG-AFTRA agreement after a crowdfunding campaign supported by more than 75 people. It has since been selcted by Visionaries Film Festival and The Great Film Club's Open Mic Night.
My writing has also appeared in Talkhouse and Go Magazine. As I develop Unicorn's Dilemma into a feature alongside other projects through Cleo-Gloria Pictures, my mission remains the same: to make emotionally fearless, visually distinctive films about people whose desires are complicated, contradictory, and deeply human.
