UNION DRUMS intends to bring together 100 drummers in a free, public performance in Union Square, paired with youth workshops and educational programming that support public school music and arts departments across all five boroughs. The project aims to create an accessible, community-centered celebration of rhythm, creativity, and collective expression, while expanding arts opportunities for underserved students. Over time, UNION DRUMS is designed to grow into an annual tradition in New York City, with the long-term goal of establishing international editions that unite communities through shared artistic participation.
