Ernest Shackleton and the crew of the Endurance faced the coldest, harshest conditions on the planet with nothing but waxed canvas, wool, three small lifeboats and a banjo. To survive, they pushed their bodies and minds to the very edge, crossed un-crossable seas, climbed unclimbable mountains and sang together every Saturday. This play is a chance to relive the hair-raising adventures of the Endurance's crew and take part in their music: sung and played exactly as they did more than a hundred years ago. It is a tale of eccentricity, perseverance, and hope. And in honor of Sir Ernest, we will make it as much of a party as we can.
