Veterans Writing Workshop (VWW) provides ongoing creative writing workshops free of charge for U.S. veterans, active duty military and their families in the New York metropolitan area.
Our other programs include:
• Writing programs for veterans in alternative housing and treatment settings. • ‘AfterWords’ and ‘On the Homefront,’ a series of high-quality print anthologies featuring stories and poems by workshop members. • An archive of veterans’ stories on video for social media. • The Veteran-Student Story Exchange to bring students in public schools together with veteran authors. • Public readings and events to raise awareness of veterans’ writing.
Current partners include Fordham University, NYU Langone Military Family Clinic, and Jericho Project.
