The Victory Dance Project is a professional dance company on a mission to 'Make the Impossible Possible with the Power of Movement.'
Artistic Director and Founder Amy Jordan founded the company in 2014. Ms. Jordan a, lifelong dancer, was crushed by a bus in New York City. At the time of the 2009 accident, she determined, if I survive, there will be a Victory Dance.
That vow manifested not only with the founding of The Victory Dance Project, but Jordan's triumphant 2017 return to the performance stage. Twenty-two surgeries later her right leg was literally rebuilt. She was told she may never walk again.
The performance is chronicled in the critically acclaimed documentary film 'Amy's Victory Dance,' available on Amazon Prime and other major streaming platforms.
Defying the odds, Amy Jordan is not only walking, but dancing. Her mission now: to continue to spread The Victory Dance Project ideology of creating Victory in every moment.
The Victory Dance Project is excited to celebrate its ten year anniversary in the fall of 2024.
Expanding into South Florida, we will present established repertoire including the company signature work 'Human Revolution,' as well as new works in development. With a continued resolve to support youth, we will present master classes and workshops for pre professional level dancers.
As we are all managing life in a state of global trauma, it is truly the Power of Movement that will transcend people's hearts and minds and bring Victory and Joy to the world.
Ms. Jordan is also an in-demand motivational speaker, disability advocate and designer.
