About

Story Line
Successful abstract artist Virginia Bay received praises for showing her latest art collection. Struggling with internalizing her success, Virginia experiences a whirlwind of anxiety, depression and self-doubt. She retreats to painting for herself, which plunges her into a secretly painful journey of self-discovery.

Story Background
It is our belief, that there are many successful black women that have several triggers that may go unnoticed due to cultural expectations of staying “strong” as well as minimum spaces for black women to be great and flawed simultaneously. Our intention is to continue the conversation of mental health from an individual stance as well as a community effort to pay attention to each other. The conversation shall include awareness, actionable steps (signing up for therapy, creating group talks, being vocal about inward emotions to those who have some type of background in counseling), and continued talks until our country understands the brains ability to change behavior can literally save us money and save heartbreaks from suicides and homicides, and make our environments safer and more free.
