Vuela Conmigo Tour is a bilingual author-musician school assembly program bringing live original music, Spanish-English poetry, and physical books to PreK–5th grade students in underserved communities across Texas.
At the heart of every assembly is a simple belief: every child deserves to see their language, their culture, and their story treated as something worth celebrating. In a 45-minute live performance, students experience original music compositions, interactive bilingual storytelling, and poetry drawn from an original bilingual book series featuring gallery-quality illustrations. Every attending student receives a physical copy of the book — for many, the first time they've ever owned a book that looks like them, sounds like them, and speaks directly to them.
We prioritize Title I schools, border communities, and low-income districts where arts programming has been cut and bilingual representation in children's literature is nearly absent. A child in Eagle Pass, Laredo, or El Paso deserves the same richness of cultural experience as a child anywhere else in this country.
