About

This project sends independent researcher Jeffrey Lehman to Japan for 14–18 days to walk the ancient Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail, visit sacred shrines and temple gardens in Kyoto and Nara, and document Japanese ritual culture, onsen tradition, and the philosophy of stillness in living practice. The result will be a freely available research report and documentary content — published at no cost through Mizuki Sanctuary's YouTube channel and community platform — bringing the wisdom of Japanese sacred spaces to curious audiences back home. Your support makes primary fieldwork possible.
