About

A Legacy Project by Danyel Rogers

MISSION The Warrior Women Nation Portrait Experience honors women who've had cancer by capturing their resilience & beauty through powerful, artistic portraiture. These sessions create a space of empowerment, visibility, and healing—transforming the face of survivorship & strength into a lasting legacy.

PROJECT GOALS (2025–2026)

Portrait Sessions
– Travel to major U.S. cities to photograph hundreds more women who have had a cancer diagnosis.

Warrior Coffee Table Book – Compile portraits & stories into a published book, preserving these legacies for families, communities, & future generations.

WHY NOW On average, people with mTNBC are given an average of 2 years to live, so time is urgent. Every session matters. Each woman’s story deserves to be captured before it’s too late—for them, and for me.

USE OF FUNDS Travel & lodging to major cities Session costs (studio rental, equipment, printing, styling) Book design, editing, and publishing

ARTIST BACKGROUND In 2022, I battled triple-negative breast cancer, a rare and aggressive form. By the end of the year, I was considered in remission.

On May 1, 2023, I launched Warrior Women Portrait Experience to give back to the community that walked alongside me.

In August 2024, I learned my cancer had metastasized to my lungs & lymphatic system. With a shortened lifespan, these sessions are now not just a project—but a life legacy. As of today, I have already photographed 75 incredible warriors, each one adding to a growing body of work that celebrates courage, resilience, and beauty.

COMMUNITY IMPACT: Empower cancer warriors through portrait sessions. Create a visible, lasting tribute in print: Foster awareness & community support. Leave behind a living legacy of courage and beauty.

Through fiscal sponsorship, I can raise tax-deductible donations from individuals, organizations, and businesses to bring this project to life.

Together, we can ensure Warrior Women Nation reaches as many lives as possible.
