SYNOPSIS: Frances and Caroline return to their New England summer home to celebrate their mother Susan’s birthday. Frances invites their estranged youngest sister Eliza and her girlfriend Gemma to surprise Susan. The sisters fear that their stubborn aging mother is ignoring the impact of her loneliness as the house becomes too much to manage. Susan reveals the fate of the house, and with it, her own prejudice, which threatens the relationship between the sisters.
