We The Diaspora is an organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Black cultural memory across the diaspora through storytelling. We create tools and spaces for people to preserve memories, document cultural memory, engage in intergenerational storytelling and archive outside of institutional gatekeeping. Our core offerings include:
JALI Platform: A central database preserving oral histories, cultural reflections, and personal testimonies from the Black diaspora, accessible for research, education, and community engagement.
Interactive Storytelling & Kinfolk Connections cards: Conversational cards that spark cultural dialogue, allowing users to record and upload responses to the JALI Platform, contributing to a growing, participatory archive.
Community Activations: Story Circles, exhibitions, and open art spaces that bring Black stories to life through immersive events, memory preservation services, and creative activations.
