We are asking for your support for an already thriving organization that has already operated with the transparency and zero-profit objectives as a traditional nonprofit for 16 years. Fiscal sponsorship will allow us to meet the full spectrum of our needs through a little fundraising. We also require official non-profit status in order to qualify for affordable theater rentals for our public performances. We have grown enough now that the least expensive of theater rentals we can fit in cost many thousands of dollars, and our primary, reliable income generation through ticket sales and singing member dues is not always up to the task of ensuring these risks will be viable. We also plan to supplement our earned income next year with occasional direct asks to create a scholarship program so more singers can participate, and will allow us to gift tickets to select populations who otherwise would not have access to the concert experiences. We hope to slowly diversify our largely affluent, white constituent base in this way, so we can more fully live our values into being and create new relationships in our wider community.
