Our purpose is to provide a collaborative home for queer theatre artists in New York City. We focus on exploring issues of sexuality, gender and the individual in society. Our company aesthetic embraces wit, humor, irony and satire.
We welcome queer theatre artists into a safe and collaborative home where they can thrive. We hope to inspire a sense of joy and imagination in telling their stories and creating vibrant new work. By linking our past with our present, we explore alternative methods of theatrical story telling and develop new ideas through workshops, readings and staged productions.
For us, queer is a word that encompasses all individuals that feel outside the societal norms of gender and sexuality. Queer is a point of view. It can be sexual or political, and include people who may, or may not, identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, heterosexual, transgender, transsexual, transvestite, questioning, intersex, two-spirit, third gender or anything in-between.
