Wings of Medellín: Rescued Through Rhythm
A project of the Villalobos Performing Arts Association (VPAA)
Wings of Medellín is a youth-centered cultural arts initiative based in Medellín, Colombia. It supports vulnerable and displaced children living on the streets through free dance, music, art and creative expression—helping them cultivate well-being, belonging, and positive connection.
Led by international dance educator and nonprofit founder Christian Villalobos, the program provides mentorship, wellness resources, community performances, and accelerated creatice arts education to children with limited access to opportunity.
This local initiative is also the launching point for Rescued Through Rhythm—an international film and storytelling campaign led by Villalobos Performing Arts Association in partnership with Frontline Films School. The campaign documents the transformative journeys of children across South America through dance, music, creative arts, and media.
