A Terrible Strength is a public health education book tour led by Dr. Kemi Doll, MD — double board-certified gynecologic oncologist, equity scientist, and author of A Terrible Strength: The Hidden Crisis of the Black Womb & Your Survival Guide to Healing (Harmony, 2026). Through live community events, Dr. Doll equips women with the clinical knowledge, self-advocacy tools, and peer support networks needed to recognize gynecologic conditions — including heavy bleeding, endometriosis, fibroids, and uterine cancer — and demand the care they deserve. The tour centers the experiences of Black women, whose gynecologic suffering has long been normalized and undertreated, while addressing fault lines in women's healthcare that affect everyone.
