I am a percussionist originally from Gibraltar, now living in Israel.
My music includes African, Spanish, Sephardic and South American influences.
I currently run three workshops:
Drums of Compassion - An empowering and sensitizing drumming workshop for participants on all musical levels. We use the drum as an instrument of sharing and acceptance.
The Reshimu Music Project - A unique interactive performance using percussion, voice, flutes and natural sounds. Along with musical pieces, we create nature soundscapes such as the forest at dawn, rain, sea-sounds, etc.
Havdalah - A weekly open-house gathering celebrating the Hebrew calendar using music, storytelling and Torah-based spiritual teachings.
My CDs, Reshimu and Gather the Sparks, are compilations of original material.
I would like my workshops, with their message of our common humanity, to reach a wider range of participants both locally and abroad. I look forward to being able to carry on recording and developing new projects.
