'You Really Tried Your Hardest' is about a couple, Isabel & Josh, who find themselves reeling after her sudden miscarriage 12 weeks into her pregnancy. Isabel is full of guilt and suddenly doubting if she's even cut out to be a mother in the first place. Josh is overwhelmed with an intense feeling of helplessness. As a couple, they've always been able to overcome what's in front of them, but now, the future seems unclear. From a baby shower gone wrong, to a romantic date at a rage room to seemingly never-ending doctors appointments with a side of stand up, ‘You Really Tried Your Hardest’ is a modern love story that we've never really seen.

The whole film will be shot in Jersey City. I'm currently in the fundraising stage; I've raised $22k thus far and the end goal is $250k. The funds will be used to get us from pre production to actually filming and eventually post production, which includes submitting to festivals and screenings. I’m also thrilled to say that I have a wonderful director on board; Akanksha Cruczynski, salt of the Earth human and winner of the Student Academy Award at the 94th Oscars Academy Awards ® for her short film ‘Close Ties To Home Country’, which was also longlisted for Live Action Short Film.

I'm reaching out to the incredible Jersey City community at large to help pull together an additional $20k by the end of the year. The more, the merrier!
