✨ Hi! I’m Anna Veedra, a professional life drawing model and creator based in Brooklyn, NY.
I host drawing sessions (both in person and online) and craft digital works that explore storytelling, character, and creative experimentation.
As a transracial adoptee, much of my work is informed by the complexity of the adoptee experience. My work reflects the chameleon-like adaptability adoptees tend to have (character work), the curiosity that drives the exploration of my identity, and the adventure inherent in seeking and discovery.
In 2019, I traveled to Vietnam and located my natural grandmother's old house, the house where my mother, aunts, and uncles all grew up. I had tea with my mother's childhood friends.
I am known to host in-person drawing sessions at my studio, Elle Studios Brooklyn. I love working with other models and enjoy bringing them in to work together. Elle is a space where I can explore, create, and innovate.
For my online drawing sessions, I have a soft spot for exploring the intersection of new technology and life drawing. I’ve designed a life drawing studio on Gather.town and at times have incorporated elements like augmented reality (life-size dinosaurs) and robotic camera movements.
I’m passionate about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in online creative experiences.
I create digital drawing references and am currently exploring and weaving parts of my personal story in.
Beyond my work as a life model, session organizer, and creative innovator, I lead an advocacy project calledThe Model TeaProject (@model.tea). Through my hosted drawing experiences, I’ve worked to create spaces that embody the values I believe in. My investment in building these spaces comes from a desire to create the kind of environment I once needed — one that was missing, or too sparse, in parts of our industry.
The Model Tea Project grew from that vision — a project to support models as artists and foster creative communities that are vibrant, healthy, and rooted in respect, equity, and reciprocity.
Thank you for your interest in my work! If you feel moved to support my creative or advocacy efforts, there are many ways to do so: through donations, attending sessions and events, or helping spread the word. Your support and generosity make this work possible.
