Between Us Theatre Co.

Between Us Theatre Co. is a New York City nonprofit theatre company dedicated to bringing new works to life, stories that are too often left untold. We center on immigrant and LGBTQ+ perspectives. the full spectrum of what it means to navigate this world as an outsider.
Founded by French-Turkish playwright,  Emile Aslan Lacheny, and Italian Actor Alessandro Paiano.

Between Us has produced over seven shows across New York City stages including The Tank, The Chain Theatre, and Stella Adler Studio. Our play E.G.G. won the 2024 BroadwayWorld Award for Best New Play (Off-Off-Broadway). We are a lean, dedicated company proving that bold, award-winning theatre doesn't require a massive budget — it requires conviction.
We are currently building our board of directors and looking for founding members who share our belief that these stories deserve a stage.

With a total minimum annual operating budget of $5,000, and an ideal of 10,000 to increase artist pay, every dollar donated to Between Us has an outsized impact. Your
$500 covers more than 10% of our entire year. Your $1,000 funds half a current production. 
Obtaining 10,000 would allow us to increase our shows to two full prods a year, increase artist pay and continue our growth to bigger venues and outreach. 

This is not a large institution asking for a small drop in a large bucket — this is a small, dedicated company where your support is felt in every rehearsal, every performance, and every story we tell.
