Brooklyn Choir Project

Brooklyn Choir Project (BCP) imagines a new model of collaboration and connection for New York City’s independent musicians. We’ve assembled 88 NYC-based singers and songwriters into an ongoing project that is equal parts polished choir and ecstatic music collective. 

We sing new arrangements of new songs by members of our choir, leveraging our large ensemble to wildly expand the scope and sound of our source material. Our songwriters represent the most inventive corners of NYC’s rock, hip-hop, folk, and electronic music scenes. At our sold-out concerts, audiences experience a distinct fusion of choral singing, fresh songwriting, and unexpected instrumentation.

It goes beyond our performances. Going into its fifth consecutive concert season, BCP has catalyzed a thriving community outside of rehearsals. Nearly every week brings another concert, recording session, open mic, or social event involving collaborating musicians that first met through the choir. By supporting BCP, you are supporting a wider network of hardworking musicians. 

We are a large, diverse choir aiming to reach a large, diverse audience with the message that community-oriented music can be equal parts empowering and artistically daring. BCP is expanding the stage and singing New York’s radical new music en masse, in harmony, together.
