About

This initiative aims to provide free flute lessons to public school students in the Richmond area who lack access to private music instruction due to financial constraints. By offering high-quality, individualized flute lessons at no cost, the program seeks to nurture musical talent, boost confidence, and expand educational opportunities for young musicians.

The Details

The program consists of weekly 60-minute group flute lessons offered over two 10-week sessions during the school year. These lessons will focus on developing strong fundamentals, exploring band repertoire, and introducing students to additional musical works beyond their standard curriculum. The program will culminate in a final performance, where students will have the opportunity to showcase their progress.

Your Support

This program is made possible solely through the generosity of donors and grant funding. Your support will help keep these lessons completely free for students, cover the cost of professional instruction, provide necessary learning materials, and help offset the cost of flute maintenance—ensuring that no student is held back by financial barriers.
