Make Public Art dedicated to Hip Hop culture-shifters that reflect and uplift their community Monuments inspired by my story and influences
Public Art has the potential to unify and uplift communities, enabling community pride and celebration. If accepted by the community it serves, it symbolizes the best the community has to offer. It is cherished, noteworthy, maintained and protected.
When planned and executed with purpose, it becomes a landmark, a destination, a point of reference and a welcoming space to congregate.
Create Public Art within spaces that reflect and is accessible to the international Hip-Hop Community.
What does this look like?
Public Spaces and Parks in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and beyond designed with the intent on preserving Hip-Hop culture shifters with a community focused educational component. For example, a park in Jamaica Queens, designed to house various public monuments and murals dedicated to local Hip- Hop heroes (RUN-DMC, LL Cool J, Sweet-Tee, A Tribe Called Quest) with plaques and Virtual Reality kiosks explaining each of their unique legacies with the goal of educating the community on the history and global impact of each artist and their contribution to our American cultural fabric.
