About the Film
The Still,Together dance film is an invitation for people to enjoy, study and appreciate the tenderness of sharing space together through dance, even when viewing from outside or through a screen.
Our aim is to bring the audience and performers into contemplative attention together. Light, time and stillness connect the dancers, the space and the viewer over the twenty-four minute duration of the film, set to a composition by Morton Feldman. On the heels of the pandemic, questions about solitude, space, time and how we share each of these are our focal point in creating this work.

When and Where
The film will be released as a livestream upon completion this summer, and will be screened for in-person audiences as soon as that is feasible.
We'll be filming in late April/early May at the Lexington House, a disused Catskills railroad-era hotel and arts center in Lexington, NY. Lokasparśa Dance Projects will be among the first artists to create in this unique space since its recent reactivation by community arts organization Lexington Arts + Science.

A Larger Vision
The Still,Together dance film is the first component of a project that also includes evening length performances and movement workshops.
The choreography for the film comes from one section of the live performance, reimagined in the post-apocalyptic atmosphere of the non-traditional performance site.

A Running Start
We are grateful to Lexington Arts + Science for donating the location for the making of the film, and to our pre-campaign contributors who have started us off with $250 to date. Thank you!
What Your Support Does
Your contributions to this campaign will be used to pay our creative team of working artists, purchase costumes, acquire music rights, and cover post-production expenses and distribution costs. Any funds raised in excess of these expenses will be used towards producing the live performance component of Still,Together later this year.
