MALACARNE is an experimental dance and performance ensemble with the mission to co-author transformative performance and dance rituals that fight reductive ideas regarding class, sexuality, gender, ability and ethnicity. MALACARNE is one of the manifestations of Alice Gosti’s work. She is a transnational immigrant choreographer, curator, DJ, hybrid performance artist. Her site-responsive performance rituals and live art installations examine how history, politics, architecture and place enter the body and condition how we move and relate.
MALACARNE, a Seattle-based performance and experimental dance ensemble that performs socio-political spectacles in historic and significant spaces, is raising $30,000 in two weeks for our 2024 season.

The 2024 season is no different, with MALACARNE venturing into a new exciting space, creating an ambitious in-person epic large scale performance ritual that bridges history and memory with architectural and emotional landscapes. This season, MALACARNE is exploring DOWNTOWN SEATTLE and what it means to revitalize a historic neighborhood that is so central to our community.
