An exciting update!
Since my last crowdfunding campaign, I've gained a collaborator that I'm really excited about; Caren Spruch, the the National Director of Arts & Entertainment Engagement for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She founded the organization's program to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights through the arts.
The reason I'm making this film!
After experiencing my own miscarriage in 2023, I started talking to people about it and I couldn't believe how many other women had unfortunately had a miscarriage as well; some of whom I've known for years. I wrote this film not only as a cathartic journey for myself, but because I want to give someone an opportunity that I wish I had; a chance to turn to a film that helps someone going through this to feel less alone and isolated. Something so common should have more representation, so this is my small way of trying to change the dialogue and stigma surrounding miscarriage.
